Antique Chippendale Style Wing Back Armchair

1900 - 1920
Description

A smart and extremely comfortable antique wing back armchair in the classic Chippendale style. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1910-1920’s period.

It is of super quality, the previous owner had it re-upholstered in this lovely patterned cream fabric. The fabric is in good overall condition, with some light wear here and there, and no marks or stains.

The solid mahogany cabriole legs are a lovely feature, with finely carved acanthus leaf knees and claw and ball feet. This is in very good overall condition, sturdy, well padded and very comfortable.

Depth – 34 inches , 87 cm

Height – 39 inches , 100 cm

Seat height – 18 inches , 46 cm
