Delightful Edwardian Silver Shoe Pin Cushion by Adie & Lovekin, Birmingham 1903

1900 - 1920
Description

This exquisite and rather unusual silver mounted pin cushion was made by the prolific Adie & Lovekin and is dated Birmingham 1903. The plain silver casing modelled as a ladies' shoe and applied with a gorgeous ribbon buckle. Fitted with a blue velvet cushion. Both sides hallmarked; One with a full set, the other with date letter and lion passant.

Hallmarks:

A&LLD for Adie & Lovekin.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "d" for 1903.

Dimensions:

Length: 6.5cm / 2.4 inches.

Width: 1.5cm / 0.4 inches.

Height: 3cm / 1.2 inches.

Condition:

Silver casing in very good condition, minor dings commensurate with age.

Cushion in very good condition.
