1937 George VI Coronation Chair from the Coronation of the Queen’s Father

A 20th century oak chair made for the coronation of George VI in 1937.

The chair was made by W Hands & Sons of High Wycombe Buckinghamshire and is stamped underneath with a crown, G.R VI 1937 and the maker's name.

There is a little rust staining on the velvet the green velvet seat, otherwise the chair is in good condition with the royal coat of arms embroidered into the back, G R VI beneath a crown.

The chair is 34” high at the back, 20” wide and 15” deep
