Antique English Sterling Silver Visiting Card Case - 1872

Description

A quite stunning and highly decorative Victorian English visiting card case, a perfect size for use today, easily accepting modern sized business cards.

A stunning shape with wonderful decorative engraving to both front and back; both the front & back have a vacant cartouche, which haven't been engraved and could be personalized if desired.

There is a superb clear hallmark once the hinged lid is lifted for Birmingham 1872 together with the Queen Victoria's head stamp and the makers initials D & M.

All in excellent undamaged condition and measuring 3 7/8" x 2 3/4".
