Heavy and of excellent quality, all joints tight. Made in the traditional way by hand in around 1890.

A rare true set with each chair of same size and proportion. The substantial saddle seats made of very well figured burr elm.
Very comfortable with a gentle rake to the backs. A few dings and a couple of small professional restorations, very hard to find and not affecting structure, as is entirely right and usual for antique chairs.
Dimensions are:
21 inches wide, 22 inches deep and 37 inches high.
Floor to seat is 18 inches.
