Art Deco 2.47 Carat Burmese Pink Sapphire & Diamond Trilogy Ring, Circa 1920

Description

I’m not sure I’ve seen a prettier ring that this vintage pink sapphire and diamond trilogy. The centre stone – certified as natural, unheated, and originating from Myanmar (Burma) – is a jaw-droppingly vivid, hot, purplish pink. The sapphire is secured in an eight-claw yellow gold coronet collet and flanked on either side by a pair of high white old European cut diamonds, weighing approximately 0.25 carat each.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Burmese (Myanmar) in origin.

Cut – Cushion cut sapphire and European cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are G.

Clarity – The sapphire is eye clean. The diamonds are VS2..

Carat – The sapphire is a known 2.47 carat. Each diamond is approximately 0.25 carat.

Circa – 1920.

Size – M (UK) or 6 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – The sapphire is 8.22 x 5.79mm, and sits 5.7mm from the finger.

Metal – Platinum, the pink sapphire is set in 18k yellow gold. Tested.
