The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The chain measures 38cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
The same marks can be found on the clasp. Each of the graduated links has the lion silver mark, and one link has the EW mark again so we can be sure that all the chain components started life together.

The chain comes with a large fob, 44mm across tip to tip. The front has the image of a man playing quoits. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1920 with a maker’s mark for the silversmiths and medal makers Vaughton & Sons.
