George V Silver Sliding Action Double Stamp Case by the Ahronsberg Brothers, Birmingham 1914

Description

This unusual George V silver slide button double stamp case is dated Birmingham 1914. The plain rectangular cover with green cabochon gem sliding up to reveal a gilded interior with two compartments for stamps. The inner case impressed with Patent number.

Hallmarks:

A BROS for the Ahronsberg Brothers.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Date letter "p" for 1914.

Lion Passant.

Dimensions:

5.5 cm x 4 cm.

Condition:

Good.

Minor surface wear commensurate with age.
