Edwardian 2.14 Carat Sapphire Solitarie Ring, Circa 1910

1900 - 1920
Description

A heart-stoppingly lovely Edwardian sapphire ring. The round cut sapphire in the centre is a glowing bright blue and is rubover set in the most intricate and ornate of settings, with eight old cut diamonds (three running down each shoulder and one each at the ‘north’ and ‘south’ of the sapphire), and pierced metal work in the gallery to an engraved platinum sank. A true treasure.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from IGR (#30310099).

Cut – Round cut sapphire. The diamonds are old cut and eight-cuts.

Colour – The diamonds are F to H.

Clarity – The diamonds are SI1 to I1; all are clean to the naked eye.

Carat – The sapphire is approximately 2.14 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.16 carat.

Circa – 1910.

Size – N (UK) or 6.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available. There is a limit to how much this ring can be altered, so please contact us if you would need this resized.

Measurements – The head of the ring is 9.2 x 9.2mm and sits 6.3mm from the finger.

Metal – Platinum. Tested.
