Antique Burr Walnut Wellington Chest of Drawers

1900 - 1920
Description

An interesting and unusual antique Wellington chest of drawers in walnut. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1920-1930’s period.

The quality is fantastic, this is very well made and heavy for its size. The burr walnut veneers on the drawer fronts are stunning, the top, sides and rest of the construction is all solid walnut.

There is a hinged locking panel that keeps the drawers shut, typical of a Victorian period Wellington chest. The handles are more unusual, they are typical of the Art Deco period.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.

Depth – 17 inches , 44 cm

Height – 42 inches , 107 cm
