Antique Treen Magic Trick - Disappearing Ball

A late 19th century boxwood magic trick. This nicely turned piece opens in two places, one showing the top half of a red ball, the other opens to an empty compartment. The finial has been replaced. The trick has developed a good colour.
 
The trick measures 8 cm h x 4 cm w at the diameter of the central opening.
