ANTIQUE #SA925115

A Victorian Giltwood Tub Chair By Holland & Sons Of London

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Jeckyll & Co

Button-upholstered in jade-coloured watered silk fabric, on parcel-gilt front legs, not stamped.

Of diminutive stature and structurally sound. The fabric is good order with the odd isolated blemish (more of a jade colour than in the images). The back left castor is a brass replacement, and there is a very small chip to the reverse of the splat. There is wear to the gilding throughout

A super quality chair exhibiting the faded grandeur of a country house find, that could fulfill a variety of roles in a mellow period home.
