Victorian Antique Pine Trunk

A neatly proportioned Victorian antique pine trunk or blanket box. The antique pine trunk has a hinged lid that opens to reveal a spacious interior. The antique pine trunk is of rectangular form with exposed dovetail joints to the corners and metal carry handles to either end. Finished with a fresh coat of natural wax, and complete with working lock and key. A rather pleasing example, with plenty of storage space.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and a shrinkage split to the top (pictured), further marks and scratches to the front and plinth base (pictured). The antique pine trunk remains structurally solid and sound. Finished with a fresh coat of natural wax. Overall, a good example of its kind.
