Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco beds from the 1930s are characterised by clean geometric shapes, stepped or faceted crests, and an emphasis on rich wood veneers rather than carved ornament. The style frequently highlights the natural grain of the timber through symmetrical veneering techniques.

Makers constructed these bed frames using solid hardwood bases veneered with figured woods such as walnut, burr walnut, mahogany, or satinwood. Book-matching cut veneers laid side-by-side created distinctive mirror-image patterns.

Authentic pieces exhibit construction features of the era, such as solid wood substrates beneath thin veneer layers, period metal fixing brackets, and geometric stepped profiles typical of Streamline Moderne design.

Pair the warm timber tones with neutral wall colours, brass lighting fixtures, and textured linen bedding to allow the natural figure of the wood grain to serve as the focal point of the bedroom.

Dust regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth and apply a natural beeswax polish occasionally to preserve the lustre of the veneer. Keep the timber away from direct heat sources and direct sunlight to prevent drying or fading.
