Antique Victorian Mahogany Open Bookcase

Description

An excellent antique Victorian period bookcase in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around 1860-1880.

This piece is a very useful size, low and wide, with plenty of storage space. It sits on a plinth base and each upper corner has a beautifully carved corbels. It’s also a very strong looking piece of furniture & is very practicable.

The mahogany has a gorgeous colour tone and has acquired a lovely patina over the years. We have had this re-polished, it is in very good condition, with various small marks and indentations beneath the polish here and there.
