Windsor Double Hoop Back Elm Seated Elbow Chair - c1850

This charming double hoop Windsor chair is a lovely design. The likelyhood is that it was originally manufactured in the north of England.

It is in great order and has a wonderful patina. The seat of the chair has produced a 'shake' over the years which has been nicely waxed in.

The wood grain throughout is nicely revealed in the wearing areas. The backsplat is stylishly designed and the turned legs and front supports are a pleasing feature. An excellent example and wonderfully comfortable too.

This chair will make a lovely addition to any setting and is ready to give another 160 years service!
