19th Century Customs & Excise Gaugers 4 Sides Slide Rule

Description

This is a wonderful example of a 19th Century boxwood Gaugers slide rule.

These were used by the Customs & Excise.

This has 4 slide rules and underneath one has the name of the maker, Cook, maker to the Excise Crown Court Soho London.

This is in super condition, lovely colour and patination circa 1826-1834 please refer to page 347 in The Rule Book by Jane Rees & Mark Rees for details of maker.
