Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The cover decorated with two bands of falling leaves. The caddy of vase shape, the reeded rim, finished with hanging leaves, over a laurel swagged body, the laurel swag hanging from flower head paterae and busts of classical man and maiden. The caddy held within rising leaves, above the circular stepped foot.
Hallmarked for John & Frank Pairpoint, London 1895.
