Edwardian 1.37 Carat Burma Ruby & Rose Cut Diamond Ring, Circa 1905

1900 - 1920
Description

A spectacular Burmese ruby ring. The central stone – certified as natural, unheated, and originating from Myanmar (Burma) – displays a striking purply red with flashes of pink. The stone is secured in an eight claw coronet collet and is flanked to the “north” and “south” by icy, clear rose cut diamonds set in platinum. The fine detailing down the shoulders of the of the band lead to a slim, D-shaped 18k yellow gold shank.

Accompanied by a ruby report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the ruby shows no indication of heating, and is Burmese (Myanmar) in origin.

Cut – Cushion cut ruby and rose cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are J and H.

Clarity – The ruby is eye clean. The diamonds are VS2 and SI1.

Carat – The ruby is a known 1.37 carat. Each diamonds is approximately 0.30 carat.

Circa – 1905.

Size – H 1/2 (UK) or 4 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – The ruby is 6.22 x 7.25mm. The ring is 19.1mm long and sits 5.5mm from the finger.

Metal – 18k gold. The diamonds are set in platinum. Tested.
