This piece is an excellent example of an Arts & Crafts inspired Bureau Bookcase crafted c1890.
The construction is solid and the Oak is very nicely presented.
The narrow dimensions of this bureau make it very suitable for for a hallway passage, however with the flap open the working surface is well sized and allows the piece to act effectively as a writing or computing desk with plenty of great storage locations.
The lower drawer adds to the practical nature of the bureau and the lower bookcase completes the design perfectly.
A wonderful piece of furniture that is in excellent order throughout.
