London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
A very pleasing compact Bureau in excellent condition, as befits it's later manufacture.
This bureaux sits upon Queen Anne style cabriole legs.

The upper writing flap opens to reveal a well fitted interior with twin drawers and both large and small cubby holes. The leather writing surface is in good order. The hinges are free of damage as this bureau benefits from slide supports that are automatic therefore it is impossible to forget to pull them out.

The writing deck folds down to a convenient height of 77cm from the floor - giving a very comfortable height to work at.
Three long drawers afford great storage and the depths of each are:
10cm = Upper drawer

12cm = Second tier
14cm = Bottom tier
Overall a good little bureaux that is ready for the next 100+ years! A pleasing piece of functional furniture that, aside from a very small area of veneer that has lifted slightly just under the bottom drawer, is in great condition.
Stunning burr walnut - Everything works well - Convenient size
