These beautifully detailed solid gold Victorian swallows are studded with tiny gleaming seed pearls. The gold is a slight rosy nine carat.

In Victorian England a flying swallow was traditionally considered a token of good luck and the bird represented enduring love and loyalty, as the swallow mates for life.

The earrings are in excellent antique condition and secure with nine-carat gold butterflies.
