Early 19thc Regency Mahogany Sofa Table C1820

Description

A fine and well made early 19thc Regency period figured mahogany sofa table c1820. The top has beautiful colour and patina. It has a double reeded edge. The side flaps are supported by pull out supports which are recessed when the flaps are down. The top is supported by a mahogany arch with a centre dog leg joint to prevent allow for movement. The outswept legs are reeded with original brass castors. The corners of the carcass are D ended and have oblong beading to match the drawers. One side has deep pull out drawers, the other side has matching dummy drawer front, typical for this type of table. Well made, classic and classy. It has been repolished and it sings!
