Description

A George V era petite silver pill box with clear hallmarks inside the box for Birmingham 1936and makers mark for S BLANCKENSEE & SON LTD. There is also a lion and date mark under the lid. Beautifully made with an engine turned top, vacant shield and plain sides and base. It has a good hinge and catch and closes nicely with a click. The date 1936 was the year of George V death and accession of Edward VIII. This is the middle of the fashionable Deco era. Very good condition. Small is beautiful!
