Antique French Gilt Framed Mirror

Description

A beautiful antique French gilt mirror, dating from around the 1880-1900 period.

This is very well made from gilt gesso, with intricate and fine details.

It is in lovely condition, with just the right amount of distressing and patina. There are a few tiny pieces of gesso missing here and there, and the gilt has worn through beautifully in places.

The mirror and back panel have been replaced at some point. The mirror is smoked, which gives this a darker and interesting appearance.
