A fabulous English made trunk in superb condition.
It certainly would be fun to use as luggage and become a real talking point.
The trunk has a wonderful colour and the interior is in superb order - including the fabulous star shaped small item retainer. The trunk has the original makers labels and the image below shows an almost identical trunk being used in WM Insall & Sons advertising campaign at the turn of the century.
The lock functions correctly and all the straps are all excellent. There is a marking of AEF over the top in faint white - we opted to leave it in place but it could be polished out if required.
