Victorian Painted Papier-m�ch�s Tea Caddy.A rare and superb example of a Jennens and Bettridge Victorian beautifully painted papier-m�ch� tea caddy dating back to c.1840. The tea caddy features twin papier-m�ch� lids with mother of pearl handles. We have relined the back of the inside lid with handcrafted marble paper.Unfortunately the key is just for decoration and doesn�t work the lock.Superb original condition and quality measuring 16x10 and stands 10cm high.Jennens and Bettridge were highly regarded for producing quality papier-m�ch� wares. They acquired the workshops of Henry Clay, Japanner to George III and the Prince of Wales, in 1816.
