The reverse with a panel of flowering plants. Both panels on an underglaze cobalt blue ground, decorated with further flowering plants.

Having a large hydra handle, terminating in a gilt head.
The base unglazed.
Whilst I am sure that this is a ‘Quart’ mug, it actually holds 2 1/2 pints comfortably.

Height: 13 cm, 5 1/8”.
Width: 22.8 cm, 9”.
Depth: 18 cm, 7 1/8”.
Condition: Typical minor wear to the gilt. No damage. No restoration.
