Georgian Silver Jockey Cap Caddy Spoon by Elizabeth Morley, London 1800

Description

This delightful George III silver jockey cap caddy spoon was made by the very collectable female silversmith Elizabeth Morley and is dated London 1800. The plain bowl with a bright-engraved centre and peak. The back with a small trefoil handle. Jockey cap caddy spoons are very collectable and this is a lovely example by a female silversmith.

Hallmarks:

Duty mark.

EM for Elizabeth Morley.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "E" for 1800.

Condition:

Average to good.

Some possible old restoration to where the peak meets the cap, barely noticeable, mentioned for accuracy.

This restoration is reflected in the price.

Bowl diameter: 3.5cm / 1.4 inches.
