A Rare 19th Century Gilded Table Stand

Description

A very rare gilded on copper table stand. Dating to the mid 19th Century and possibly of French origin. Beautifully embossed with a vine leaf motifs and standing on four substantial lion paw feet. Bearing a crest to both cartouches of an antelope over an S or a J.

The condition is very good overall with no dents or splits. Some copper bleed to the top which is to be expected from age and use.

Weight approx 928g.
