Description

This wide desktop storage unit, built in the 1920s from a gorgeous deep-brown walnut, was originally used for keeping paperwork and stationery at historic Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge: hand-painted gold lettering harks back to its academic past. It has 4 small drawers on either side and a central storage section with lift-up bowed lid and two false drawers beneath - all with original brass fittings, including an ornate handle in the shape of the college crest. It would be the perfect desktop, sideboard or countertop addition for anybody looking to add a little old-style Oxbridge glamour to their study or shop.
