Handsome Antique Narrow Kurdish Runner. 393cm X 72cm.

1900 - 1920
Description

A very unusual circa 1900 narrow kurdish hall runner. The ground colour is a kind of a light mahogany and with a glowing jewel-like blue. In fact there are many interesting colours within this runner,yellow,turquoise,pink,leaf green and vermillion as well as the afore mentioned.

The pattern is a kind of herati one but adapted in the kurdish manner to make for a very interesting runner.

Has been hand washed last two images,

All over even pile. Even fringes. Side cords and ends all excellent.

Size is 12 foot 11 inches by 2 foot 4 inches. 393cm X 72cm. At widest points. Fringes not measured in size. All woollen hand knotted construction.
