Antique Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Desk

1900 - 1920
Description

A smart and stylish antique Edwardian inlaid mahogany writing table / desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1900-1910 period.

It is of fantastic quality, with an elegant yet sturdy design. There is beautiful satin wood inlay around the top edges, drawer fronts and down the tapered legs. The drawers have high quality original brass handles, they all run smoothly and have fine, hand cut dovetailed joints. The inset leather top is gold tooled and hand coloured. This has a gorgeous overall colour tone and patina.

We have had this re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age, with just the right amount of wear beneath the polish.

Depth – 21 inches , 54 cm

Height – 30 inches , 76 cm

Knee height – 24 inches , 62 cm
