Pair of Oak Handmade Cricket Bat & Ball Bookends by Thornton-smith Co.

Description

This handsome pair of Art Deco bookends which were handmade in the 1930's are by the Thornton-Smith Company and made of oak.

These bookends are in the form of cricket stumps and have wonderful details with miniature bats and red cricket balls.

This pair are in excellent condition, look as though they have never been used and the one still retains it's original label to the underside which reads Guaranteed Hand-Made by Thornton Smith. These bookends rarely become available to purchase in this condition.

A wonderful quality sporting item that would look great in a sports bar, office or mancave and is an ideal gift for a cricket fan.

Maker: Thornton-Smith Company.

Dimensions: Width: 8.5 cm (3 1/4"). Depth: 12.5 cm (5"). Height: 19.5 cm (7 1/2").

Condition: Excellent used antique condition.
