N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
This lovely antique single fusee mantel clock has a beautiful “balloon” shaped case. The case is mahogany with lovely cross banding as well as an inlaid shell to the front. The back door is then shaped to match the case and comes with its working lock and key. Finally the case is finished by four shaped brass feet to the bottom.
The centre of the dial is then signed by the maker “Brockbank & Atkins LONDON 12488”. The dial is then finished by a lovely bevelled glass set into a brass bezel as well as two shaped, blued steel hands.

The movement is then wound from the front and accessed from the back. It is a fully working chain fusee example of the upmost quality and comes complete with its regulating pendulum, winding key and travel nut. The movement is then engraved, like the dial, “Brockbank & Atkins, London 12488”.
It measures approximately:
11.5” / 29.25cm Tall.
7” / 17.75cm Wide.
6” / 15.25cm Deep.
