N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The body of the case is then square with belled out sections to the bottom of the sides which each have floral carvings to the front. There is then a further moulding separating the body as the base. Finally the clock is finished by four turned wooden feet.
The dial is then round and painted. It is set out in black Roman numerals with a thin ring to the outside marking the minutes. The dial is then finished by two shaped hands as well as a protective, bevelled glass set into a brass bezel.
The movement is then wound from the front and accessed from the back. It is a double chain fusee example and comes complete with its regulating pendulum and winding key. It ticks away as it should and chimes via a gong!
It measures approximately:
17.5” / 44.5cm Tall.
10.5” / 26.75cm Wide.
7.5” / 19cm Deep.
