A Large 18th Century Cork Silver Tablespoon

A sought after Irish Provincial silver table spoon, of large proportions. This lovely example is in Oar End Fiddle Pattern with a feint monogram engraved to the front of the shaft. Marked with 'Sterling' and the Maker's mark stamped twice, this is revealed to be by an 18th Century Maker and Assayed in Cork. A good collector's item, still usable today.Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits. The bowl tip is slightly thin to one side, commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Maker's mark struck twice, Sterling.

Date :- Cork 1760-80.

Maker :- William Reynolds I.

Length :- 24.6 cms.

Bowl width :- 5 cms.

Depth :- 1.5 cms.
