M Lees and Sons has dated this George III Mahogany Sideboard to the Georgian era.

Fitted with a combination of drawers and cupboards, one deep drawer fitted as a cellarette with divisions for bottle storage . Raised on square tapering legs with a reserve of chevron cross-banding and chequer inlay to the upper section, terminating with elongated ‘spade’’ feet.

The top of well-figured mahogany with no marks , damage or splits . Minor shrinkage cracks to the veneer of the end bow doors commensurate with age ..
Fitted with original detailed cast gilt-brass handles , and retaining all original escutcheons ,working locks and keys .

Has achieved a a good consistent mellow colour and patina to the original polished surface .
A well-drawn Georgian period mahogany sideboard of good scale and proportions, offering both practical storage whilst also offering ample depth and width for use as a serving table .
