A Late 18th Century Green Glass 'Hollands' Decanter

Description

A rare small barrel shaped decanter from the late 18th Century. This charming example is a 'Hollands' decanter as illustrated by the hand gilded detail on the body. The decanter is in a lovely Bristol Green and retains the original blown ball stopper. The body is gilded in graduated horizontal bands and has excellent wear to the base. Hollands was an early name for Gin and denotes the place of the spirit's origin. An excellent and usable example. Dimensions below.
