Description

Extraordinary carved late 19th.c. Anglo-Indian hardwood chair c.1890. Densely carved sides with flying snakes making up the arms, with human figures below and dragons and eagles to the rear, all amongst pierced foliate ground. With a vintage fabric upholstered seat with carved top rail and frieze. Raised on a quality set of porcelain castors stamped with a 'C & C' (Cope and Collinson) patent. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
