Description
Unusual Swedish turned fruitwood lidded tankard with raised rings and engraved decoration of a cannon and man's head. Inscribed around top 'Glad gast drielger Bast' which roughly translates to 'Happy drinking'. Marked on bottom B.K.U. Stockholm, Sweden. All in fine un-touched original condition. Great colour with fine waxed patina. Size; 7.5" high, 5,5" wide, 4" diameter at base. Delivery cost in mainland U.K. ***FREE*** Dealer in hand picked Georgian and earlier furniture, ceramics, metalware and silver. Also stocked 19th. Scottish paintings and oriental rugs.
