Antique Pitch Pine Lectern

An attractive and solid antique pitch pine lectern from St Elvan’s Church, Aberdare. The antique lectern has a slope to the top for bibles or hymn books with a two door cupboard just below for storage. The antique lectern is raised on shaped sides with a decorative three blind panelled front. A rather pleasing example, perfectly used as a radiator cover or sideboard.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and stains to the sides and front (pictured), also minor losses to one of the front panels (pictured). There is evidence of historical woodworm, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique lectern remains structurally solid and sound, with the cupboard doors running well. Overall, a good example of its kind.
