Pair Japanese Lobed Satsuma Vases Daimyo Procession

A fine pair of Japanese Meiji period lobed satsuma vases each decorated with a large cartouche front and back depicting a Daimyo procession on one side and a palace scene on the other, finished with gilded fo dog heads either side and intricate diaper border decoration around the base shoulders and side panels. Both vases are satsuma marked ‘Satsuma made’ under the Shimazu mon and apart from typical minor gilt wear both are in excellent condition with no damage or restoration standing 8 ¾ inches tall.
