Made from Portuguese sterling silver fully marked on the underside of the tail; bearing the "First Standard" mark alongside the Lisbon hallmark for 916 grade silver, Leitao and Irmao mark of a spinkx over a letter "L" together with their name.

This exquisite and rare piece is a heavy piece of solid silver weighing 85 Grams / 2.73 Troy Ounces; beautifully crafted in the form of a Dachshund dog with a long blue tassel as a leash, the box interior is even shaped to accommodate this original blue cored tassel.

Charming and exquisite in superb condition measuring 8" x 2" with the box measuring 9 3/4" x 3 3/4" x 1". Art Deco in era, dating to the 1930's.
