A superb example of a Victorian painted papier-mâché glove box dating back to c.1850. The box features a beautiful coloured picture under glass to the centre with a wonderful hand painted designs either side.
Open the box to reveal the original green papered interior.
The box is complete with a working lock and key. It has a makers stamp to the underneath “Lane Birmingham”
Superb quality and original condition measuring 27 x 12 and stands 7cm high.
