Gents antique 14kt gold Cavalry Lever wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged metal cover.

The watch measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is 14kt gold and there are Swiss hallmarks including the squirrel mark for 14kt gold. The case is in lovely condition, as is the glass lens.

The dial is signed Cavalry Lever, Swiss Made. Several companies registered the Cavalry name but this is most likely to have been by the Anglo Swiss Watch Cie of Solothurn in Switzerland who registered the name in 1913. Original hands although the infill has been removed at some stage in the past, along with the paint on the numbers, probably to remove the radium content.

There is an old patch of damage next to number 3, mostly covered by the hinged bezel, but there is a faint hairline radiating towards the subsidiary seconds dial although it is faint.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
