A Fabulous Victorian Silver Plated Claret Jug

Description

A fabulous silver plated cut glass claret jug. The mount is in the Victorian Gothic style and has a hinged lid with steeple knop. There is an engraved pattern to the lid and collar, which echoes the design on the glass body. The fully cast serpentine handle is decorated, pierced and features a shell thumb-grip. The tapering glass body is beautifully etched with flowers, leaves and geometric patterns and the jug has a cut border to the base. A most attractive, practical example and a great gift idea. Dimensions below.
