Description

A fantastic Walnut chest of drawers retaining a fine set of original Rococo handles and escutcheons. With two short over three long drawers all cock beaded and cross banded in mahogany, flanked by quartered and fluted columns. Standing on well shaped bracket feet, drawer linings unusually in Cedar, an expensive timber with a strong aroma used to deter insects and moths.

Circa 1780 and of North country origins.

Having a glorious warm colour and patina.
