Walnut Bracket Clock, Circa 1890

Description

Walnut bracket clock by lenzkirch of Germany.

Dimensions:

Height 16 inches,

Width 11.5 inches,

Depth 9.5 inches.

Superb quality burr walnut and gilt bronze mounted bracket clock, circa 1890.

Fully restored 8 day movement, 1/4 hour chiming on 2 curled gongs and striking the hours on a single gong.

Movement by Lenzkirch of Germany engraved to the back plate and numbered.

Well executed brass dial with Slow /fast regulation and silvered chapter ring.

Highly decorative gilded cast spandrels.

Finely figured burr on the front, back and sides of the case.

This clock is a very fine and original example of the high quality clocks manufactured by lenzkirch.
