Early 18th Century British Royal Armorial Engraved And Lidded Bohemian Glass Goblet C1710-20

Technical Description
A magnificent early 18th-century Bohemian glass goblet. The lid has a facet-cut finial containing red multi-spiral threads with an engraved flower and leaf pattern below and fits perfectly.
The large round funnel bowl has the British Royal Coat of Arms (as used during this period by Queen Ann) and a central shield of the House of Brunswick (which became Hanover). The armorial was almost certainly for one of Queen Ann''s children. none of which survived into adulthood. The Brunswick resided in Diez, Germany (then part of Bohemia). A band of large oval and spire cuts at the base of the bowl above multi facet cut knops and collars the largest containing matching red multispiral threads. Conical folded foot with a snapped pontil.
